Musk isn’t a genius, he employs geniuses. He’s a decent programmer, but so are millions of other programmers. The difference is he’s a visionary: he sees gaps in the market and needs that need to be fulfilled early enough that he’s the first one to adequately cater to those needs. And then he makes money.

Inhumans had good performances from the entire cast but boring situations for them to be in. Just about the only role that was interestingly written was Maximus, and even then they went too hard on the evilness when he would’ve been far more fascinating if they’d emphasised his sympathetic qualities more.

Like fellow asshat Winston Churchill once said: you can always trust Americans to do the right thing, after they’ve exhausted all other options.

As always, I like to point to what I consider the gold standard of “actually looks like they’re trying to hit each other”:

Omg I never realised this song existed. This is a meme in Ireland, as Brendan O’Connor did a pisstake of it

Interesting to note: in Irish, word “púca” (pronounced “pooka”) means a mischievous animal spirit

In the books it’s different: Geralt knows Stregobor and doesn’t particularly like him for professional reasons. However the more we find out about Renfri, the

Cool. Hey, have you seen the trailer for The Mandalorian Season Two?

The Daredevil news is a rare example of an unleakable spoiler because I will literally only believe it when I see it.

Yeah I really can’t complain too much about the decline of Star Wars when we’ve gotten the MCU to replace it.

“Used to be” was a long time ago. Even the RotS novelisation was a vast improvement over the movie.

I think the fact that Jason Todd got fridged just as hard as, if not harder than Barbara buys DC a little slack on this one. You can’t say it was about her gender when they did it to Jason the same year.

Whether or not Bale has done comedy before depends entirely on how you interpret American Psycho.

I seem to recall that Tywin Lannister favoured a particular bard immensely, after he wrote “Rains of Castamere”.

The concept of people being so stubborn that they’ll do the opposite of whatever you tell them isn’t a modern idea. I don’t want the show to invent a new phrase and waste screen time explaining to me that it means the same thing as this other phrase they could’ve used instead.
