Hey Luke, slight correction: the employee that Bethesda are throwing under the bus isn’t a reaction to the support response you highlighted. Another customer tweeted a much worse support response:
Man I dunno what servers you played on but on PSN there’s only the occasional rich griefer. Most of the time I go about my business without anyone bothering me. Part of that is down to the fact that I keep an eye on my HUD for other players and give them a wide berth, but staying vigilant and “sneaking” past other…
IMO the ideal RDO would be different in the following ways:
Rockstar have accounted for this. You’re not playing Arthur Morgan. Not all of him. If you read his journal (and I highly advise it), you see that Arthur *doesn’t like* the evil things the player makes him do. There are conversations you can have in camp, which I like to call “therapy sessions”, where Mary Beth or…
Not if I steal it first!
Only if there’s a guild.
I’m here to tell you: not always. I know THAT for a fact.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that it doesn’t matter whether you, the consumer, want the devs and testers to avoid crunch. They’re not doing crunch to avoid online harassment. When I was working in games, I would’ve happily taken the brunt of an online bullying campaign or two over sleeping at my desk. It’s…
I don’t want to be all Ten Commandments with you, telling you “THOU SHALT NOT” about your decisions, but - and this is just my own experience - it helps to not think about where dating and conversations with your preferred sex are *going*, but rather to focus on having a good time during the early parts and letting…
No problemo; it was kinda therapeutic for me to vent that.
Well, I mean, it’s not as if I’m “cured” or whatever. It’s somewhat OK now, it was worse before, it will probably be worse again, and then it will probably be better again, etc etc. So I’m loath to talk about somebody else’s journey as if it’s the past for me when it absolutely could be the future too. Avoiding that…
Well I certainly hope you’ve seen someone about it! You and I both know “this can’t be normal”, and it isn’t. It’s a problem that needs fixing, and for that, you need, at the very least, an objective outsider’s opinion on how to deal with it. Someone who’ll tell you when your “I need to socially withdraw” time has…
“Fuuuuck you, bitch! I know Bill didn’t qualify that shit”
I dig it
I’m happy for you and yet at the same time I’m very consciously trying not to envy you because everyone has their own journey. It’s a weird mindspace to be in, let me tell ya.
I hear ya. My apologies for assuming! And good luck with your depression - if I could fight it for you, I would. Normally at this point I’d say “that sounds rough” or something similar in order to segue into offering emotional encouragement, but Daredevil Season 3 has got me self-conscious about that, lol!
You’ve never been severely depressed, have you?
I’m sorry, but the press shouldn’t have carte blanche. If a “source” gives a reporter nude photos they hacked from Jennifer Lawrence’s iCloud, they should not be free to publish them just because the hacker was the one that committed the crime. When a journalist publishes something, it should be in the public…
