OK and what’s in the phone messages that demonstrates the connection to that story?
OK and what’s in the phone messages that demonstrates the connection to that story?
He apologised to T’Challa for T’Chaka’s death just before trying to eat a bullet... Just because he was the Sokovian equivalent of a Navy SEAL doesn’t mean he was a monster.
Sorry, I saw a film where Zemo told a prisoner that he’d rather not resort to bloodier methods, and where he intentionally left the psychiatrist to be found, and where he thought he deserved to eat a bullet himself after saying “tell that to the dead”. Maybe you watched another movie where his guilt over the…
No it’s not. That’s what’s great about it. He’s listening to SOMEBODY’S wife talking about showing up for a child’s important event, but it’s NEVER explicitly stated what the messages mean. Your interpretation is valid! I’m not saying that it isn’t. In fact it’s the most likely meaning. But it’s not guaranteed. That's…
Is that you, Bill?
What are you talking about? I’m saying Zemo’s story is probably true and his family probably did die in the Ultron incident. But that the phone messages he’s listening to MIGHT be the messages for the psychiatrist he murdered and he feels bad about it. I’m not even saying it IS the psychiatrist’s phone; just that it’s…
It doesn’t seem terribly flawed to me; Erskine already made it clear that his formula would amplify negative traits, which was why he chose Rogers. In Blonsky, good became great, but bad became worse. Blonsky was already an aggressive soldier longing for his glory days: when he got the serum, the “desire to be…
Who said it was fictitious? I didn't.
This makes me paranoid that any time my co-worker discusses something with me, maybe she secretly resents it if my reply is brief. Sometimes the answer to a question isn’t complicated, and sometimes she’s already covered all the important points and all I need to do is agree or disagree. Now I’m wondering if she wants…
Well, considering that it being stolen didn’t tip any of the good guys off that the crash was no accident, my guess is Stark hadn’t told anyone about it - or if he’d told anyone, it was the wrong person. It was probably in the trunk because he wanted it off the books (like how Fury wanted the Guest House kept off the…
Not really. If Steve and Bucky had been alone, he probably just would’ve trapped them there (there were prison facilities and cryogenic pods etc and he was bragging about how tough the walls were) and sent Stark the video and their location. Considering how he was planning on eating a bullet, and the plan as executed…
Ok but why would it make his monologue pointless?
How would it be pointless? Just because he felt bad about killing a dude doesn’t change the reason why he did it.
OK so now to address the loose end:
I'm hoping that the fact that he has this disability to deal with makes him a better, more fascinating prospective main character in a movie of his own.
One thing you notice on second viewing is how Zemo is interrogating the Russian dude because he’d rather not have to go through with the bombings and stuff, like “I’ll get what I want with or without your help, so all you’re doing is forcing me to kill more people than necessary. Please don’t make me”.
The first one absolutely gets better, yes. The story is so good it was able to make the transition from Anakin to Vader make more sense while still showing Vader as an utter BAMF. In other words it even makes the prequels less awful.
So Slott wanted a no-prize?
IN THEORY, I agree with Ryback because it’s possible that someone who is not a draw for the fans is nevertheless instrumental in making the “stars” look good. Sometimes a popular character’s buildup involves a squash match, and said squash match involves the opponent taking big bumps. That bump-taking jobber deserves…
Well, to each their own. I find it unique and interesting. Even though it’s pretty rough, it (and the art style that followed) gave She-Hulk a very distinctive look. Call me crazy, but I find that when art gets TOO polished, it loses a certain amount of personality.
