Would be an interesting scene to have people he is walking near get a phone call with someone online saying “Give the phone to the man walking by”

Lets put little Odie into perspective. It was a lander built by 250 employees at a project cost of $200 million dollars including launch fees.

They could get a season and a half out of Burning Chrome alone, tbh. Not serialized, but Black Mirror style. I’d pay cash money to see a talented auteur adapt The Winter Market, Dogfight, and/or The Hinterlands.

Re; Freezing night

I mean, it’s bad, but actually not as bad as I was expecting.

I really hope they do not do any weird aging things with Alya.  Being a creepy toddle that talks like an old lady is kinda her thing in the first book.

I mean that is kinda the way of kings and emperors forever.

We’ve reached a point in the games industry where trends are moving faster than development cycles, and the results are calamitous.

It will be tough to not succumb to the “John Carter Effect” - where it will seem derivative despite being the originator of so many tropes of the genre.

I’m very pleased that more and more, studios are choosing to adapt things as TV series instead of movies. You get the time needed to properly pace the story and do it justice, so it’s a wise move.

I’m curious how they’ll do the phone scene in the airport, it’s such a great scene, but is so oddly dated now.

You are correct. I have issued a correction at the bottom of the post and will be forever ashamed of my error.

Honestly, the best thing about Helldivers is that within like 2 weeks of release we’re getting stories that read like things that came out of Eve Online without having to play Eve lol.

sweet!

As I do whenever a golden-age Star Wars game is brought forward to modern platforms, I’ll end up spending too much time mulling over how well — if at all — the controls for X-Wing and TIE Fighter would translate to a game pad.

The amount of pre meditated grifting that goes unpunished by the legal system is such a fucking bummer.  I’m not talking over promising and under delivering, these are straight up cons. Erasable ink contracts? How can you not go after them for this?

You have me confused with Dwayne Johnson, but I get that a lot.

OH, COME ON.
