Well, the upside is the series is complete, so they won’t need to come up with a conclusion all on their own.
I feel like Legacy missed the mark with its theme. The original TRON had a lot of fairly heavy-handed religious commentary, and Legacy would have been perfect for that: God Flynn has two sons - is one more “real” than the other? Is CLU justified in his jealousy? (probably!)
Other people have said it but I’ll say it too. Kids will always find something to belittle other kids. (Fuck, adults will too, it’s just shitty human nature.)
I think it was on regular rotation on HBO when I was a kid... the weirdness really stuck with me.
Avatar and Cowboy Bebop set the bar in the stratosphere, it would’ve taken a miracle to be as good as the originals.
Having never played Borderlands, I hope this is essentially the long-awaited sequel to Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, with Cate Blanchett picking up Molly Ringwald’s character many years later.
