I’m curious to see what they do with Alia. Because in the books just about everything involving her is terrible.

All I know is this movie better have Josh Brolin rushing into battle shouting “long live the duke” while carrying a dog. 

The only thing I really get out of this is how the #FilmTwitter early review hype crew have perfected the art of sounding so amazingly insincere and manufactured in everything they say.

That’s the genius of the Lynch version. Naked Sting adds at least 2 minutes.

But Alia is physically 4 years old at the end of the book. Why would you abandon the amazing Creepy Child visual in favor of just wedging ATJ into yet another thing?

The twist is that she plays Alia from baby to adult...without any CGI!

I think it would be good for games like Persona to have romance “options” that aren’t really options. Characters you can try to romance, but they will knock you back and there’s nothing you can do to change that. No matter what dialogue options you pick, they will never be interested.

The homophobia is absolutely brutal, and its a genre that still hews slavishly to the male gaze.

Quality has always been inconsistent. Early MCU had The Incredible Hulk and Thor 2, and Iron Man 2 and 3 were both mixed bags. Meanwhile, today we have high points like Loki and Guardians 3.
