Franken’s elected by Democrats, who care about this stuff, and Boebert is elected by Republicans, who don’t.  I guess the “justice” comes from the fact that you’re always free to vote for the party that doesn’t care about misconduct by its members, but you (for good reason) don’t make that choice.

I’m sure she’ll have a gig on Fox News, Newsmax, or OAN once she’s out of office, or she’ll at least blow her way into a job at Breitbart.

The stuff with Franken was fucking stupid. The people who started banging the drum against him were not acting in good faith, but managed to make enough of a racket to get a sitting Senator to step down. It was basically a more successful version of what happened to James Gunn.

This is why going away to college reduces bigotry (as long as you don’t go to Liberty or something) and why the trans people are such an inviting target these days. When you meet people with different backgrounds and realize they are just people it is harder to demonize them. The trans population is very small so a

Do it, Elon. I dare you. I double dog dare you.

They use scapegoats like Jewish and black people because it’s “easy”. The 1/3rd of the country that lives in midwestern flyover states probably don’t even know a Jewish person. Even if they’ve met one, they probably didn’t realize it.

They’ve probably met a black person, but maybe don’t even have a black family in
