Make sure you’re actually playing the PS5 version and not the PS4.  Fast travel load times have been less than 5 seconds on PS5 for me.

You’ve been playing the PS4 version on your PS5. On the same console, the PS5 version literally takes 1-2 seconds for fast travel, and I dunno about initial load, maybe 10-20 seconds? I haven’t played in a bit.

Not assuming anything by any means, but it took me forever to realize that “X to continue” pops up almost instantly on a loading screen. If you just sit there without pressing anything, it’ll eventually continue after a minute or so. Now I’m barely on a loading screen for 2 seconds while fast traveling.

Considering how stupid big and complex the map is, the loading times on PS5 are some kind of otherworldly witchcraft.

Pretty sure throwing him into whatever iteration of Bethesda’s Creation Engine to try to pull the same result would be so soul sucking he’d hate every minute of it.

They are bringing the game to Switch soon. That will make them some more money.

Game Developers. This is how you do a “live service” game

Same here, I’ve had it on my shelf waiting for this for over a year and now I have Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring coming in the next 2 weeks, great timing...

This Horizon sequel looks like shit tbh, is Aloy even in it?

I feel ancient for knowing this.

We gamers can be so ridiculous. In the absence of news, we seem to decide that there has to be something and then start making things up out of whole cloth and then get disappointed (at best) or even angry (at worst) when the stuff we made up in our heads turns out to be wrong. I include myself in this because I’ve
