Agreed. I have a ‘71 CL175 and ‘72CB175 - both bikes are better rides and (at least to me) FAR better looking. $1600 is close to what they are worth in great shape with a current inspection sticker.

On the one hand, there’s a bunch of these out there for sale, and this is in fairly good condition, and in line with pricing. On the other hand, the high end for this looks to be $2000-2500, and it would take so much work (I’m looking at the chrome) to get there. If you are itching for a project bike, I bet this would

I’ve brought many old Honda’s back to life - seems like a quite a few of them had the fist dent, as in, damn thing won’t start so they bang their fist on the tank putting a nice dent in it. Currently have three CT70's and an NX650 in the stable.

“I don’t like this! I must destroy it!”

We exist, and we’re also free to criticize the media we consume... especially on blogs designed for just that purpose... and you’re also free to disagree with my criticism... you see how this works?

As much as I agree with the complaint that those Short Treks would make perfectly fine B-stories in Disco episodes (and should have been used as such, rather than as shorts), I wasn’t impressed by their writing.

“Scooters are TOYS because they can’t go 80+ down the expressway.”

LOL...if Toyota kills the 86 the tide of opinion will shift suddenly from “Chintzy and Underpowered! You really screwed the pooch Toyota!” to “But it’s such a great car! Why Toyota? Why!?”

The 4cylinder doesn’t matter. It’s a mobility motor to allow you to get the car into the workspace. Where it’s promptly torn out and a 2jz boosted to the moon is installed.

I have no problem with scooters or people that drive them but to somehow try to equate them with a real motorcycle is a joke.

Apparently he only rides bikes that are over 100+ hp.

Your name is literally “The 1969 Dodge Charger Guy” and you’re complaining because this Vespa is “half a century old.”

Vespa prices have been stupid at least as far back as 2012. I wouldn’t count on them going back to where they belong any time soon. Only the Vietnamese clones are reasonably priced, and those usually need frame work to be safe...

Exactly. If you’re going to buy this, chances are 100% that you’re going to drive it in areas in which its scooter-ness is not a liability.

And you claim to be an enthusiast. Bah. You’re an uneducated riding elitist. Vintage Vespas are awesome to ride, even for “motorcycle guys”. You should give one a shot sometime... unless you can actually ride a bicycle 60+ mph.

hey guys look, it’s the worst opinion on the internet today

“I have issues with my masculinity, so I have to vote CP to prove that I’m a MAN! Cause scooters aren’t manly, but I am, right? RIGHT? Someone please tell me I’m manly, PLEASE?”

Most would agree they aren’t motorcycles. That’s why they are called scooters.

I guess you don’t skip leg day if you’re managing 60 mph on a bicycle.

So, exactly why has so much money has been completely pissed away on autonomous driving tech?
