I liked this episode. Yes, it was plot centered for the mystery and time line revealing. But it still had plenty of character development and drama. I enjoy this show for the plot as much as the characters, and it is unusual to find writers so dedicated to making the puzzle plausible, complicated, truly

No

I mean the informant to the DA, the one which they refused to reveal at Annalise's bail hearing, so as to protect that person's safety. This informant had been talking with the DA a long way back before the winter break and before the explosion. Wes had never talked with them.

I just knew that Oliver had made a copy of Annalise's phone since that is in his character. The question is: When did he open and look at it? I kind of got the vibe that he looked at it before the break, since he was pushing Connor to tell him more. And he got kind of squirrelly at different times. And this might

Connor is very conflicted. I think the writers are playing this up not only because it is believable, but because it can later make us think that he is the confidential informant. Remember how Michaela and he leave and don't get further involved in this episode? But I think this is just good writing and a mislead.

Like driving over the district attorney? He snaps. Will he snap again?

After a couple days, I am most amazed how a totally hammered Annalise could think on the spur of the moment at the mini-mart to buy a cell phone and have Frank make a call from Mahoney's fixer's/possible mistress' house to Charles in his cell. Man, her brain can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'!

I think each character presents different issues for everyone who watches. And the writers try not to write about stereotypes, which keeps everything more interesting. Asher's character was not much to talk about the first season, but was very much deveoped the second season. Just as Frank's character was kind of

Yes, I like that too. Kind of like Sam's self-defense murder.
So, what if Annalise needs more money (since she already spent Sam's insurance money on hitman) so she pays someone to torch her house. And she's so drunk, that she forgets which day he was going to torch it. And accidentally invites everyone there.

Agree, and the fire was an EXPLOSION. Not a fire which fell out of the fireplace, right?

I think that they will test the smoke in Wes' lung and see if it is from the fireplace or a gas explosion. That will reveal that he was killed before the explosion. I think there will be some bang on th head too, which would make it possible for a smaller person to kill him.

Yes, that bath scene was just a plot diversion to make more evidence that baby is Wes' and not Frank's. Just do some DNA tests. This will be drawn out a long time. With lots of drama. With Meggie. And possible abortions. and fetal alcohol syndrome possibilties. And my money is on Frank.

OK, good, we finally get Oliver to do something with Annalise's phone info, but what now?

He's dead.

True. I think last week, with the ambiguity of the timeline for when the police interview with Wes, there was a chance that this interview was after explosion night. So in that case, Wes could have been informing on Bonnie, if he had found out during explosion night.

I'm thinking as you are. (See my other comments) WHo was the real informant before Wes?
Where is Laurel's dad going to play a part in this?

I agree Mahoney is probably his dad, but wouldn't it be incredibly ironic and tragic if Mahoney was not Wes' dad? Shakespearean! If Annalise sent a hit man to kill Mahoney for nothing. Doubly tragic. Triply tragic with Wes dead.
I still don't think Frank would shoot Mahoney with Wes standing next to him.
Also, remember

Exactly. I also think that the NY police had checked Mahoney's phone, contacted his mistress, got info about the call , and gotten suspicious of Wes and Annalise even before the first time he was questioned. (Looking at that scene, the cops look knowingly at each other when Wes says he didn't know Mahoney.)

Enquiring minds want to know.

I think Oli may have copied the data from Annalise's phone that night, because he is a very curious dude. So he may know more than he lets on. Remember his face when asked to hack the DA's office? Pretty uncomfortable, especially if he knows what is on her phone, or if he is the informant. (Remember the police had
