Honestly it reinforces the stereotype of gay men being unflinchingly superficial. I’m pretty sure my gay brother wouldn’t have anything to do with me, being that I’m 40 lbs overweight, if we weren’t related. I love my brother, but damn is he sucked into that culture. 

Not to mention, she has done away with all of her looks that made her “exotic.” Now she looks like generic caucasian woman.

I agree. All of my family and my wife’s family are in Houston, trying to survive (who all voted blue, not that it matters).

How did you work in Houston for 5 years and not know Houston politics?

Very proud of my alma mater. UT was responsible for opening my eyes to the bigger world (I grew up in a tiiiiny town) and turning me into the progressive liberal I am today. It still has its issues, but it continues to buck the system in a very regressive state.
