Simple. Hyundai most likely didn’t used galvanized metal, nor any paint with rust inhibitors in the design of the wiper arm. You’d be surprised what automakers will do (or not do) to save a penny on a component. A penny doesn’t sound like much, but multiply it by a few hundred thousand new vehicles/year  and bean

Getting the sulfur out of the fuel to make “clean” diesel fuel.  When I bought the car, diesel was about 10 cents a litre cheaper than reg. gas.  Then for the last three years, it was about $0.10 a litre more expensive.  Plus the cost of diesel goes up in the winter because the fuel has to be winterized.

Diesel engines are NOT more expensive to build - but the cost to engineer & build diesel fuel & emission systems add to the overall option cost. Injectors, lift pumps, injector pumps, DEF systems, particulate filters, etc. is what makes diesels costly to option into a vehicle platform.

I’ve driven a diesel Equinox and it wasn’t bad. The down side is that diesel is now more expensive than gasoline.  That would be my first thought on the failure of the vehicle to sell.  I purchased a diesel Cruze three years ago when diesel fuel cost less than gas. I only regretted purchasing it after the cost of

It’s painted. When a B-I-W goes through a paint-booth, the entire exterior is painted because masking off areas would add unnecessary labor & material costs.

I’m sure that Clinton/Trump debate format will not fly for the next go around.  Lesson learned.

Add the Nissan NX2000.  Had one for a weekend, it was a blast to drive.

Doesn’t matter which one of these (D) candidates makes it to the finish and miraculously becomes the next POTUS, if they have McConnell as their primary foe, like the country, they’re @#$%ed.

Summary is pretty spot on! Except I have a Buick.

I’m 55 and just got my first C7 April 1st. 2K miles in three months. At that rate, we should have the first 4K on the odo by the time we put it away for the winter. Hopefully the heart attack waits till the car is stored.

Traded our GT-350 for a 2LT Vette with no regrets.

Damn, spot on. Had a sweet mullet when I owned an ‘84 Zapper and I’m bald now with my current C7. And I just used up my fourth sunny day today.

1960's - Mustang all the way, but Ford got to the game first. Ford was on it’s third iteration of the first gen by the time Chevy got it right with the ‘69 Camaro, which is basically a legend on its own.
