Service and sales work independently. Once the sale is over, service owns it from a warrant perspective. Go to your salesman with an issue, he doesn’t care. Thus you have to get to know the service personnel. Be nice, and you’ll be treated nice. The only thing that might get your preferential treatment the next time…
