To all, my apologies. I stand corrected, the previous gen Softails were equipped with hard mounted engines, rather than isolated engines like the Dyna models. But I swear to you, when I last rode a “b-engine” softail, it felt smoother than than the new M8 equipped softail. I guess it’s all in the seat of the pants.…

Street Glide owner here. I like these new revamped bikes, then again I’ve always had soft spot for the soft tails. I loved the smoothness of the balance shaft engines, but hated the fact that they were under powered (although the softtail slim with the 110 is a rocket). The new Fat Boy looks gnarly.
