While I am in almost total agreement, the one thing I gotta counter is the idea that there’s people who don’t want to. I’m one of them. Taking a family of five to the latest MCU movie, even earlier in the day when tickets are cheaper, is minimum $50 to get in the door. Add in concessions, and we’re dropping a hundred.

Freaks gets left off, but Sweetheart gets included?!? That movie could’ve been solved in five minutes (GO TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLAND!).

Said it before, I’ll say it again; they missed the boat not incorporating some characters from the like action sitcoms. Sam Puckett and Jade West would be PERFECT fits.

No. This is a fundamentally stupid take, because it ignores the real problem. The actions taken in China are bad because they do nothing to achieve the stated goal. This is telling an alcoholic “you can only drink a six pack a week”. It does not address the mental health issue that is driving the addiction.

I see at least half a dozen of us had the same idea. Nicely done, folks.

Well, shit. This may be the update to finally get me back into NMS. I love city building and management sim games.

You want people to stream shows to prove wrestling is awesome, and you suggest Dark Side Of The Ring, a show that exposes the ugliest, seediest, and most tragic stories in the business?

Good service? “Tip more! They deserve it!”

Reading this, all I could think of is Not Another Teen Movie, when Jake’s friends pick Janie, and Jake is sure he’s lost the bet because she has “a pony tail! And glasses! And overalls!”.

If this were a group of teenagers blocking traffic, people would be demanding far more than a pound of flesh. But this asshat is treated like his stunt -- which could endanger people and disrupt lives in critical ways -- is charming and amusing. Fuck this idiot. I want the next person he blocks to call the cops on him.

But why does it have outdo itself? THAT is what makes this take bad. Your take is “it’s either all or nothing”, and life is not that binary. There’s room for shades of gray. Maybe they pull back the throttle from SR4 and go to the sense of humor of 2 or 3. That can still be incredibly fun and silly and take the piss

I don’t think this is a garbage take because I disagree with the fundamental principle (I’d rather go back to a humor style of 2/3 than up the ante, and I don’t disabuse the writer of their preference). This is a garbage take because it comes from the presumption that ONLY two options exist: increase the absurdity

Oh, look, we took a super-attractive actor, ruffled their hair, dressed them in casual, unfashionable clothing, and presto! They’re a social outcast!

So, we’re ascribing confirmation bias to angels now.

I was just coming to say this, but then I started doubting my own memory. Glad I wasn’t going crazy.

“Praise efforts, not results”.

It should also be mentioned that, since this is a direct sequel to the original, it’s pulling Halloween 2018 and establishing a new canon. And since all of the backstory with the interracial relationship and the honey and whatnot occurred in part 2 ... poof.

His killers use honey to attract the bees. Since he’s covered in sweet stuff that tastes like candy, a little girl within the lynch mob declares him “Candyman”.

Not that there’s any chance of Whoopi getting it, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I let her cut in line before Hayley Atwell.

This idiot’s parents didn’t get royalties because why would they. He didn’t contribute to the success of the album. He’s a cover model, that’s it. When [actor] is on the cover of [magazine], they don’t get a piece of the action. And besides, nobody expected the album to do what it did. Why would he or his parents get
