There is nothing more satisfying in Dead Island than having a zombie running straight at you, taking one swing, and sending their head flying off. So awesome. Wish that were the case in Skyrim.

I thought the same thing! One of the things Dead Island really "gets" is the impact of the melee combat. It feels so good to break bones and chop of limbs. Not having that same sort of impact in game such as Skyrim is very sad. The combat certainly looks more fluid from the character's perspective, but if your

Makes sense from a business standpoint, sadly. It would cost EA a hell of a lot more money across its titles to create content that would persuade consumers to buy new because it made the title a must-have right away. This way, they can save time and resources by developing a less than stellar product and still make

I thought those had DLC bundled with them. Nvm then. Either way, I do know they always reduce the price of the SR titles pretty heavily in a relatively short period. Even if it didn't come with DLC I'd at least save some money and be more likely to buy some of it (the exact reason I bought all the ME2 DLC...

Copying the exact same style of game is more creative than rebuilding an old universe in a completely different vein of gameplay? Your idea of imagination is much different than mine.

Wow. I had recently written off buying this after hearing about all the DLC THQ has planned, because like the other titles I know they will release a version with all the DLC in a year or so, but this type of genre-bending really piques my interest. I wonder if it's the only major departure that the game will take

I was more concerned with the fact that shoulder buttons are only supposed. If it doesn't have them, then it'll make it super awkward.

So how the fuck are you supposed to play games that require simultaneous dual thumbstick operation AND face button presses? God damn this thing is horrendously ugly.

I shouldn't say struggles. It plays it at roughly 30fps with okay detail. Battlefield 3 isn't a game I want "okay detail" on, though.

It's only 2 months old (including a quad core AMD Vision processor) but the system struggles to play Conan Online (the free version) so I doubt it will handle Battlefield with much aplomb.

I wonder if they are counting the PC versions that were included for free in the PS3 versions? While I'd expect the PC numbers to be higher for such a title, I'm sure it would help to bolster those numbers with PS3 sales.

Sadly, I don't think I'm going to get this game on PC. I originally wanted it on my laptop so it would be portable and support more players in multiplayer, but with grad school underway, I don't want the temptation of Battelfield anywhere.

Let's not forget the pistol in the last picture is also a reasonable knock off of the Robocop gun...

In this new version, more often than not, the "characters" from old are actually just the cars themselves. Sweet Tooth, Dollface, and Mr. Grim (and maybe one or two others) are actually like gang/team leaders. Any member can drive any car, whether it is Sweet Tooth's truck, Mr. Grim's motorcycle, or in this case,

I just discovered the joy of tower defense games and I have always loved third person shooters so I am really looking forward to grabbing this game. Looks really fun and I like that, due to the RTS/Tower Defense elements it will likely end up with more impressive replayability versus your average third person shooter.

I am extremely impressed. This game looks fantastic, even from this brief footage. It finally appears someone knew what they were doing when making an Alien-licensed game.

Mass Effect has proven to be my favorite series of this generation, no contest. The thrill I had of playing the first one and soaking in all the details and lore was akin to the first time I watched Star Wars back when I was 7/8 years old: I was simply awe struck by the universe that was created.

This looks like a Pixar/Insomniac MMO. Consider me sold.
