This is sitting on the top of my fantasy RPG want list. Yes, even ahead of Skyrim. while I am unabashedly excited for Skyrim, it's a known quantity. I know what I am going to get. What I get I am going to love. With Amalur, though, there is some mystery (and intriguing design/gameplay choices). That makes me

Smashing on the go with random strangers would be amazingly awesome.

While I wouldn't necessarily say it is a system-seller just from that brief snippet of gameplay, but it is exactly the type of game I would see myself buying alongside a 3DS to supplement a killer app-type of purchase. Super Smash Bros. 3D and Shinobi would be all I needed out of the system for a long while.

Hmm. So, I went back in and started a new character (Resistance) and found out ANOTHER way they shortened the replayability of this game.

I almost forgot the worst part!

I've been playing Brink all day since it arrived. It was my #2 most anticipated shooter of the year behind Battlefield 3. My thoughts:

Those are the types of character designs that would have made me interested in Mortal Kombat. Instead, we got essentially the same thing... again.

Part of the reason Netflix discs ship faster is because they used to have an exclusive priority over other mail envelopes. Gamefly actually took such action to court and recently won a suit allowing them to also attain special shipping at lower rates like Netflix, so hopefully in a few weeks/months customers will

The only way they got screwed was my releasing a shitty online game. If anything, this outage has saved people from a boring gameplay experience.

Except for the fact that after a match was done on a single map it would move to the next like normal. I loved playing Arica Harbor but hated a lot of the huge maps. There often weren't enough players to keep things moving without turning into a snipe or vehicle fest.

I want to play as Desmond playing as Ezio playing as Altair.

They could have doubled these numbers instantly if they allowed for female characters. :P

Hmm. That didn't pop up as an option. I'll have to check it out.

Ten bucks says everyone will wear the same fucking mask, too.

Literally just finished Dark tower Book 2: The Drawing of the Three a little over an hour ago. Fantastic. Starting books 3 later today/tonight.

I just finished Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom this afternoon. Wow. What a fantastic game. Nothing has brought such a consistent smile to my face since Shadow of the Colossus. Truly an underrated gem. Loved every minute of it.

I had the issue of GamePro that revealed/announced the Mac version for years stuffed away in a box somewhere. I used to pull it out from time to time as a fun little keepsake to show to my friends that were big Halo fans. Always got a big laugh. Then my family moved and all my old shit like that got junked. :(

Maybe people aren't buying it because the price is a tad steep in comparison to the multitude of significantly cheaper DS models out there with a vast array of solid titles in their collective library? When parents have already bought their children 2/3 DS systems, the last thing they want to do is buy a third DS.

I may not like the name, but I like the possible image they could use if it were called the WII.

I never said Nintendo games were kiddie games. I said they are not mature rated and, generally speaking, don't have advanced and nuanced stories like many more mature titles do, nor do they tend to have quite as much satisfying action and adventure as other titles (genres I enjoy).
