Lex Lang, not John DiMaggio.

Narratively, sure, I agree with that. That's just a place I don't want to see characters like this go. I don't think they function on that plane unless they're specifically designed for it, or under the hands of some EXTREMELY skilled writers.

Executive produced. He had almost nothing to do with any of them.

I hope I get fired for THAT blunder!

Technically, PREZ appeared in the godawful DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN

I will say it's well animated and well paced, it's just representative of everything I really dislike about the direction DC has chosen to take with these characters in the past decade.

But before that you get the brilliantly calm "Why is my headquarters moving?"

From what I understand, Co2E was meant to be a Timm/Dini/McDuffie bridge film featuring the original voice cast that would link the end of Justice League to the beginning of JLU.

He's so smooth in JL/JLU! Like it just works! I actually really loved DiMaggio's bestial Grodd in B&TB, but that's a totally different show on a tonal level.

I hope someone got fired for THAT blunder!

There's just aspects of Assault I can't overlook, and I find them legitimately gross and unpleasant, but then that's DC in general for me since like, 2004.

How GREAT a duo were Clancy Brown and Powers Boothe as Luthor/Grodd? Some of the best heavies in recent memory.

It's just so far down near the bottom for me, and I've legitimately enjoyed some of the non-Timm animated features, like Crisis on Two Earths, Doom, Green Lantern : First Flight.

Man the NES version of Rygar was SO much better than the arcade version.

Divided We Fall is definitely up there.

If Flashpoint Paradox didn't already exist, I'd say Assault was the absolute nadir of DC plumbing the nastiest, ugliest, most unpleasant and unnecessary depths in which to drag their characters in an animated format. There's implied necrophiliac rape regarding Killer Frost in this movie, for pete's sake. I felt like I
