Any other comics fans offhandedly reminded of the Warren Ellis Authority arc where "God" comes back and the antibodies on the moon are reactivated?

And that's an unbelievable burden to put on someone, isn't it? And it really is an offensively paternalistic pat on the head, take the training wheels off, you did the right thing you get a treat moment. Her reaction didn't ring false for me at all.

It's not like he was asking her to clean up after her puppy though, he was forcing her to make a choice that could have potentially doomed her entire planet, for all she knew. That's not just "taking responsibility."

Again, stirring shit. Why do you want to raise an army to argue with random people on the internet over a TV show about a magic space time man and moon eggs?

Because you seem to just be trying to stir up shit, and there's no real point in engaging your random, unsourced, italicized brigade.

Sal Buscema is an artist that I really had to grow to appreciate. I was reading all Spider-Man I could when I was a kid, and I always gravitated to Amazing (because at the time Erik Larsen was the artist) over Buscema's Spectacular. As an adult, I've really come to appreciate how great Sal Buscema's art is. He's

True, but that's called the "Christmas Special Season" for some reason, because it was truncated and ended with the End of Time.

I mean specifically the Christmas Special "season" that comprised The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, Waters of Mars, and End of Time 1 & 2

Yeah, I'm confused there too. I was under the impression that most people view the Christmas specials as a whole as being poor to middling.

I like Wheaton a lot, especially with the TableTop series, but this show was LCD garbage. He's not a scripted stage comedian, and the kinds of things he was "riffing" on just aren't really very funny.

MUSLIM BROWN and TURBAN WEARING GUY are on a ROOFTOP.

Muslim Brown's Badassssssssssssssssssssssss Jihad

Who's the slickest man in the Taliban?

Sequel idea : Christian White faces off against Muslim Brown, the baddest Imam in the whole damn town.

That's all well and good, but I will cling to my dream of a BioWare semi-sequel to Jade Empire based in the Avatar universe.

They're already working on book 4, which will end the series.

Wow. They stuck the hell out of the landing this time.

On your first point, you really need to try and understand what it actually takes to actually, truly want to end your own life. Death is completely final. I've been there, I've tried it, I was lucky in that by happenstance someone came along and got me to a hospital.

That's a valid point, but I think my message is a little muddled. I made that post pretty much right after I'd heard about Robin Williams.

I actually emailed him with my thoughts, he gave me a fairly reasonable and compassionate response.
