I had a roomie who was shocked by the fact spaghetti sauce had sugar in it. Like the store stuff probably has too much, but she just never thought about something she’d never tried to make.

I made croissants once. They were amazing, but wow, there is sooooo much butter in them.

The amount of butter one puts in mashed potatoes to make them taste great is also kind of alarming. I’m sure the fastfood ones are even worse. 

As someone who did this for the first time ago last week, I can say that you are so very right. Making a single cake’s worth of cream cheese frosting took 4 cups of sugar.

Receipts are definitely a go-to bookmark for me too! It doesn’t matter if I lose it, unlike an adorable bookmark.

Absolutely. We end up taking my MIL to a specific Denny’s, because when we go it isn’t crowded and she knows the place. If we aren’t near there, any meal out will be pretty fraught.
