I was on the flight. It was horrifying but luckily I stayed strapped into my seatbelt. I couldn’t drink coffee until we were well past the storm because of all the turbulence.

I understand it may come across as pedantic but all I disagreed with is that the OP said the founding fathers made an error and they specifically wouldn’t have wanted equal voting rights in this country even if they could see society today. I think they kept the door open on purpose.

I completely agree they were complicit in egregious human rights violations with their treatment of Africans, and the founding fathers did not see Africans and African Americans as equal to European whites.
