Because it doesn’t rain cheese.
Because it doesn’t rain cheese.
I’d hope the brakes bring the car down to speed FASTER more quickly than it accelerates.
Wow! What a cool picture.
Look at the people on the side of the street at 3:12 when that SWAT van with the cow-catcher sends those cars flying. They are like “oh fuck!”
It’s the effect of high frame rates.
Huh. Okay well I hope you click on his stuff from now on. He does a few laps with the electronics turned on to get fast laps, and then turns everything off and does end up getting sideways. I’m not a drift fan but seeing how a car manages a drift tells a lot about its character and balance.
It’s truly unbelievable that you didn’t know Harris before TG and you’re on the site. Are you new to Jalopnik as well?
Haha I saw the preview of your comment when I clicked the alert and it just said “so”. I was like WTF do you mean so?!?!? But yeah. It’s pretty much as close to a race car as you can buy from a mass producing manufacturer.
Yeah that’s the thing. Regardless of how fast a Vette Z06 would be around a lap or two, this Viper could drive into next year’s 24 hr du le mans and race all day and all night.
The one and only. You can have your P1, 918, Koenigsegg, whatever. I’d buy two if I won the lottery so my dad and I could go racing all day.
Ah man I took the bait :) chat away my friend!
He definitely does. He competes in all kinds of historic races and is fast as hell. He’s a great driver and always does a few laps of not sliding around sideways.
I agree with this statement. The 348 was an abomination.
WUT. Who thinks this thing is ugly?
Actually I really care about this car. It’s one of the last truly purpose built Le Mans cars for the road since majestic Porsche GT1 and Merc CLK-GTR days of the mid 90's. It’s a clear departure from the supercars we’ve been delivered lately to pander toward ultra rich who want to look good and have super fast cars…
If the tires rotate forward, wouldn’t the car rotate backwards? That’s the equal but opposite reaction that Sir Isaac told us about.
Me too. I have big feet so that’s always been the easiest way to do it. My dad’s modified 911 has racing pedals where the throttle has a piece sticking out about an inch or two by the heel to make it easier to actually use your heel. I do actual heel-toe in that car but I have less throttle control than my normal…
I know!! I was like wow that tachometer goes up to 10,000 RPMs. Redline is almost 9000. That’s stratospheric.
Well said.
Valid point.
