On paper in stock form there’s not a lot to love, but with with very little effort and money you can have 300 HP, a pretty-well developed chassis based on off the shelf parts, and while it’s never going to be the prettiest girl at the ball, they can look decent:

Blanket bigotry about selective bigotry is the best bigotry.

Add in the diff+tranny cooler, new compact differential, new tranny syncros, and hours and hours of professional chassis tuning and setup, and you’ve blitzed past a $53k build on your own.

I’m probably not ever going to drive a Formula 1 car or a 288 GTO or any number of things, but that in no way affects my perception of those cars. Hell, most of the cars I can afford and want to drive I likely won’t drive simply because of the time and availability constraints of life, and that still doesn’t devalue

Don’t think it was “dog-legging”, it was canted sideways on the line, too.

I’m sure your experience with your Ford Ranger is going to be taken under careful consideration by the experienced craftsmen who restore 8-figure Ferraris, I’m sure they’re happy to have your input.

Is there some kind of automotive youtube channel guild pact that all licensed background music must be generic buttrock of the highest (lowest?) order? The variety of awful $100 electronic drumset and Jackson starter kit guitar+amp greasy, sleazey shredfest assmusic to be found on these channels is unbelievably

Can part of this overarching, morally-superior new pathway include not giving friends of the program the benefit of the doubt that you don’t give any other random transgressor of automotive maladies, a la Alex Roy and Magnus Walker?

You should be proud of yourself for this.

They do, and sometimes with good reason as there’s a huge difference between putting yourself in a situation to lose control on a public surface vs. a racing surface. But they do go over the top on some of those people, and there’s absolutely a double-standard.

It’s the same “our little publicly-visible buddy made a mistake” standard that they apply when, were this a random nobody, they would have busted out an endless stream of vitriol. Wrist-slaps aren’t condemnation.
