I strive for accuracy in my internet commentary.

Hahaha

Having looked into the market for 1st gen R32s recently, that price really isn't unreasonable. It's nearly impossible to find a clean example that some flat-billed moron who spends most of his time on vwvortex hasn't managed to get his sticky, fat, ham fingers to ruin with doo-dads and trinkets that look like they

People*

Chicago's not that bad as far as people not driving goes, but clearly this could only happen in a town where many people don't grow up driving; that was a truly moronic display of driving by the thief. He seemed to be struggling with the very basics of driving.

Part 1: Americans are stupid, fat, ugly, loud, ignorant, and closed-minded. (note the irony)

Yes indeed, these aforementioned things don't happen in Russia.

10 seconds? 10 SECONDS?! Great, if I'm out on a track day, useless if I want some tail-out shenanigans anywhere else.

This post is equal parts baited stupidity and insight.

Ah yes, the sports car in which the traction control is never fully off, no?

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over my glorious powerslides.

It's honestly not a bad quarter for Tesla, they hit $0.12 per share and are continuing to grow. Yes, the stock was down in after-hours trading, but the stock went up before the post-close announcement so it's only reasonable to expect it to rationalize a bit.

Oh shit, Freiburger's in on it? Well, guess I'll have to check it out.

They're all pretty bad, to be honest. Haven't watched much Roadkill, though, so I'll withhold judgment there.

Well, there are other used cars between $2k-$8k-$16k, for one.

There's a lot of equivocation between a brand new car and a 20 year old Toyota. And there's no sense in discussing the hypothetical virtues of a car that satisfies a virtually non-existent market.

Last paragraph = bingo.

TMS has been really holier-than-thou recently. Can we be a little less, uh, douchey moving forward, please?

I just don't buy the anecdotal evidence you have to suggest that most or even many buyers want stripped down cars. The average consumer wants all the shit they can possible afford (or not afford) thrown into their new car. Those actually worried about the value proposition or just getting a basic vehicle will buy used.

Because consumers are responding to all of that extraneous crap buy, uh, buying the cars that contain it.
