You just let the real terrorists win, congratulations.

I don't feel you speak for "men". At least any man I know (or would want to) wouldn't want you to

Hmmm... an ad for men that will promise to give them boobs that they can be confident about. I'm sold!

It's like this. When I was in 6th grade, I was working on a group project in science class. The members of the group were getting rowdy but I didn't say anything because I liked a boy in the group. Later we were all punished. I told the teacher I wasn't being loud and shouldn't be punished. She said it didn't matter

The Old Spice commercials have been fairly convincing, but I think it's a strategic way of riding the fence between making fun of masculinity and venerating it.

The advertising culture that instructs women on how they are supposed to look and act in order to better sell them products does the same thing for men, and for the same reason—playing on people's insecurities is profitable. Ask any con artist.

There are only three lines in advertising:

I'm pretty grossed out by the entirety of man culture. Beard trendiness, man caves, hipster dicks who sit around talking about bourbon as a man drink instead of shutting the fuck up and drinking it, guides on how to punch, complaining about feminists that make it so "you can't even be a man anymore" (not kidding,

As a man, I find that the most offensive thing about Brut is the smell.

It does smell terrible, and we judge you for wearing it. Sorry for being a little blunt there, but you should stop that.

Stop buying in man! I'm all about citrus scented bodywash, I smell amazing and it isn't in a stupid all black container to try and appeal to my "manliness"

Now playing

AU CONTRAIRE MON FRERE, the Terry Crews Old Spice commercials are not stupid. They are wonderful.

So if I was a man, I believe that Brut video would have offended me. The essence of Man is his sperm? Way to go with the biological reductionism!

These ads are always so stupid. "LOUD NOISES! GRUFF VOICES! EXPLOSIONS! MAN STUFF!!!!!"

Hill's apology seemed sincere, and his outburst was clearly an emotional one. Meanwhile Oldman's apology seems like damage control, and his "outburst" was one long rant expressed in a calm interview.

Seriously. Speak for yourself, Gary Oldman. It's probably true that we have all used problematic language at some point, but no, not "everyone" casually throws out the N word.

Congratulations, Uber! <3
But I still think we have to fight about poutine.
ETA: Also, I will put sriracha in my pho tonight and think of you and your successes while I prepare my green smoothie for the morning, because I am now a dirty left coaster.

Absolutely. Honestly, I'm really surprised at how many people are still holding Hill's comments against him. Are there really that many people who didn't grow up hearing/saying things that they later learned were inappropriate? They can still pop up sometimes when you're not thinking about what you say.

Sorry, but when you're in the public eye like this, you can't be sprouting off about how much you feel like you hate something, whether it's the Jews, women, homosexuals, etc. You need to check yourself and not lose your shit, like Jonah Hill did or turn off any potential audience that you could get, like Phil

I'm more inclined to buy Hill's apology (and I did), because he was in a stressful situation where a paparazzi was harassing/insulting him and said something stupid in a heated moment. Oldman was sitting somewhere comfortably giving an interview. Totally different...
