I remember being impressed by the animation as a kid (done by Toei, according to Wikipedia), but if it had gone to series I doubt they would have maintained the quality.

The 90's X Men was the best out of all the attempts, also the 90's Spiderman. I collect all the different series from Marvel & DC anyways but the story quality is obviously better.
