You can do that and still have a movie of substance . Everything Ive heard about the production seems like its not gonna be a good movie.

It really wasnt. There are no jokes in her joke show. And her framing it like “I have to do it cause the media wont report it on it right” is a bad reason to not have actual jokes. Her being self aware of that doesnt make it much better.. not to mention to pretend that her doing this is now the only way we can get…

not really. You can still report those things and make real jokes rather than “he said this. CRAZY HUH?”. Lets not pretend the only way to get an idea on what’s going on is CNN or something.

You cant do a tongue in cheek segment about no jokes and only “cant you believe that?” type segments but then also only do those kinda segments on the rest of your show. Outside of the sports segment a few weeks ago this is entirely her thing.

I said it in my own comment but unlike a lot of the non jokes we see get praised here cohen is actually succeeding in making them even think they looked dumb which is different than then just making them mad about the “lying liberal media”. 

if we are beyond humour than people need to stop clapping at low effort “jokes” about it. how many comedians are just repeating things he said as a joke? Humour is a powerful weapon but a lot of the comedians right now are just normalizing his behavior rather than having anything to say about it
