Here’s the obvious question. Why doesn’t Toyota sell a crate engine version of this like GM does with its LS?

Not so much generation as iteration; each new displacement gets its own engine code.

You can, but most folks seem to recommend just finding a GTE.

Back in highschool I went to a Supra meet at wherever that drag strip outside the Houston area is. They live-dynoed a Mk.IV that made 2500 horsepower (with NOS).

I could make a convincing argument that American tuners already had a healthy respect for at least one Japanese engine, Mitsubishi’s 4g63, by that time. The amount of power you can coax out of that little 2.0 is somewhat ridiculous. But if you’re limiting discussion to non-4-cylinders, then yes, this was probably the

“Nissan followed up the RB with the VQ-derived VR V6, which is also a big-power motor but nowhere near as common or affordable or supported as the 2J.”

One of the most important things about the engine is WHEN it came out. Before this, Japanese engines were jokes to American car fans. This engine single-handedly established Japanese engines as legitimate power plants, despite not being 8 cylinders and over 5 liters of displacement. Nobody had seen a power plant like

Sometimes I think white people are just pure sadists. I can’t understand why they hate our children so fucking much.

I’m sure that this happens so frequently based on a combination of the fact that the Ford Mustang is the best selling “sports/muscle car” in America and the fact that these rocket surgeons don’t grasp the basic laws of physics...

Too much car for too little a driver

Because the Mustang is the “HEY, WATCH THIS” type of friend you had in college.

These weren’t even GTs... They don’t sound like v8s and there are no 5.0 badges on the fenders.

Crappy drivers with big egos.

just a case of drivers rapidly running out of skill

why do these idiots insist on turning their traction control off. You should have to pass written and practical tests to be allowed to turn off your Mustang’s traction control.

So do GT mustangs just have really crappy stock tires? Is an issue of too much power? Why does this happen so frequently??

Now this is my kind of lifehack!

Is Budlight a reward or a punishment?

I dunno, I think it’s a good idea to read a bill before you vote on it, even if it is as you describe.

I love the idea that if we tax billionaires we will lose their largesse. We would cut off the pearls that dribble from their lips down upon us mere mortals. Wither the art museums? Wither the ice rinks?
