Looks like half the pickups I saw in Ecuador this summer (with a taller greenhouse). It is indeed ugly, but show me a pretty truck and I'll show you a poser.

Extra fuel efficiency, in an endurance race, means that pit stops have the potential to be dictated more by need for tires and less by need for fuel. In certain situations. I can see this being very useful in certain situations as far as the racing aspect goes—never mind all that enviro-crap.
Is this the movie car, or a reproduction of the toy? Because it is literally dead accurate to the toy, and it's unusual that toys are so faithful to movie cars.
@Saboth: Well, what if they're still snapping at you?

@CaptMatt15 is Alfa Crazy!: I asked for a Turtle Blimp every year for Christmas, and never got it. I was lucky enough to make off with the van and some flying Cadillac of Shredder's, though.
There are some things I just can't see this car doing very well. Turning, for example. Actually, I can't see it turning at all.
It's still ugly, but I think it looks a hell of a lot better in red.
I know how to get exactly what I want out of my 1999 Camry. I know its limits and its faults, and I can predict exactly what it is going to do based on what input I give it and the feedback it gives me through the wheel and pedals.
@Baby beater Benz: I learned to drive on a '95 Eagle Vision, but with the 3.3. It wasn't as fast as the 3.5, but its steering feel was miles above either of the '90s Camries I've owned, or even the Charger my parents have now. And it didn't look half-bad either. The LH's were definitely the best American midsize…
@jb68902: From everything I've heard, "your" wrong about the build quality and reliability, unless you live somewhere all the Hyundais are from 2003. I'll admit the Azera is crap, but you don't even mention it in your rant.
@CaptMatt15 is Alfa Crazy!: More details.
Well, if one thing's for sure, it's that we'll never see Sheryl Crow riding another bicyclist...err, bicycle.
Reminds me of those wonderful magazine advertorials. Automobile Magazine has some great writing, a terrific design, and its views are generally in line with ours here at Jalopnik. However, it lost a HUGE amount of credibility with me, when Jean Jennings began to shill for Jeep.
I feel a Top Gear challenge coming on!
@BlandonNimrat: I Don't disagree with you there—I was just trying to explain to Mr. smokyburnout that I didn't think you were talking about FoMoCo's fine tuning of the Crown Vic as a model, but the cab company/driver's fine tuning of the individual cars. Unless you weren't, in which case, my apologies. Either way, I…
@bzr: He'd be one of those guys who takes everything waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously, e.g: "You all should be ashamed of yourself for judging people by their cars..." His Saturday nights exist solely for the purpose of getting people banned from Gawker.
