I have loved these cars and dreamed of owning one since the ‘90's, and the design looks every bit as good today as it did back then.  A true classic.  But $25K is about 10K too high.  And with 6.8 seconds 0-60 times, you’re not really getting a performance car, but you’re sure going to pay like you are.  Remember, the

It would’ve been much cheaper and easier to ship the damn thing rather than fly out, fix it in the field, and drive it back. Probably wouldn’t be as funny though. :)

Thought I was the only one!

This isn’t a museum piece, so who gives a shit about numbers matching?  Find the otherwise perfect ZJ (they came in a lot of different flavors, so find yours) and do the swap.  There is no point in trying to save that one at this point.  It’s too far gone to ever make any financial sense, whereas you could build a

These all get faded paint on the hood around here in Northern California.  I can just about guarantee that’s what’s being covered up.

Do you feel the same way about the Nissan Armada?  Because they’re nearly identical (except for a different grille and headlights).

Out here in Northern California, the paint on the hoods of every one of these I’ve seen is faded (mine included).  I can 99.9% promise that is is the issue that’s hiding underneath.  So I get that, because it bugs the shit out of me every time I look at the hood, but chrome... really???

I have to go CP on this for the wheels alone. The wrap can be removed, but replacing those hideous wheels is going to cost enough to put this well into CP territory. I have one of these, same year as this one. These are pretty decent vehicles if it’s the kind of thing you’re looking for. They’re comfortable as all

You get a star for the shirt alone.

OMG I’m dying! Of course I had to read it in the appropriate voice.

These go for around $17K around here. This is a steal. I own a 2012 35d that now has around 96K on it, and it’s one of my favorite vehicles I’ve ever owned.

What’s with the trailer hitch?  What in god’s name would you want to tow with this?

Without looking up prices, this felt a little bit high for what it is. I have a soft spot for these things, kind of an unnatural fascination. I’ve never owned one and most likely never will, but still. I worked at a MB dealer back in the late 90's and these things were still getting regular dealer service. Issues with

I won’t lie.  I want this thing in a bad, bad way.  And it’s only an hour away.

This!

Or it could be that it just lapsed and they don’t feel like paying the registration on a car they’re getting rid of.  Pass those fees onto the next guy.  Definitely makes it harder to sell though.

Technically true, but as a practical matter, this almost never happens in the private party market.  The seller is technically responsible for providing a valid smog report that was performed within 30 days of the date of sale.  I’ve bought more than a handful of cars since moving here 13 years ago, and only once has

You get 30 lives, and you’re going to need them.

Seems legit.

How is this so close? The blazer was a flaming heap of dog shit. CP at any price, at $4500 it’s pure insanity. I can smell that vintage of GM from here. Ick.
