8 GB of RAM being too little for an OS is insane. My work MacBook Pro recently ate it from a corrupted hard drive. On the bright side, my company replaced it with a Surface Pro 3. Windows 8.1 is a bit glitchier than I realized, but it's a great machine.

The game I've come back to the most over the years is Master of Magic. It's still my favorite 4x game. They're are plenty of options but nothing too complex.

Rebirth is amazing. I probably played somewhere around a thousand hours of the original, and it's looking like I'll spend even more on Rebirth.
