Oh, and of course you want to have the last word, devoid of any substance; why am I not surprised? Oh, right. You’re a walking, talking husk of a person. Well, have at it.

So you’re implying Botswana and Laos are inherently culturally inferior? Your xenophobia is showing.

Sounds like there must be a reference to The Sound and the Fury, too. Four perspectives of differing coherence centered around one period of time? I mean...

“pretentious” is the new “nonplussed.” No one knows what it means nor how to use it.

Yes, I mentioned that twice.

Correct. You can perform in writing too.

Well, that’s three too many.

Okay, I will.

No. It’s sincere. To me, this is interesting in the same way The Psychopath Test by Jon Ron Son is interesting.

If that’s your focus, I suppose.

No, you’re right, I haven’t watched it yet, though I plan to now. Sounds very interesting, doesn’t it?

No.

Sounds much more interesting than you give it credit for, especially tripping over yourself to perform how much you dislike it. Talk about bad acting.

And let’s not forget Belgiim and Belgiem!

I go back to You Are the Quarry as the start of his “modern era.” I still consider that one a classic in his catalog. Consider that album and this album tentpoles, with the albums in between a parabolic sag (now that annihilates the metaphor!).

Exactly: This album is a high water mark in his recent output.

I’m telling you: actually listen to this new album!

You’ve defended your opinion well, but if you’re saying you don’t like “How Soon Is Now?,” for glaringest example, you’re saying, in effect, you don’t like music.

I have also been underwhelmed with his recent output until this album. Seriously, give it a chance--it’s very good (besides the tedious joke of “The Secret of Music,” it’s ten really strong songs).

Or they’re reviewing an album, not a man.
