That’s like an initiative I heard of to teach barbers in typically black neighbourhoods to spot early onset melanoma because black men were more likely to talk to their barber than a doctor. It was a great initiative, but highlights a really depressing norm.

As a fellow canadian, I wonder if the whole private health care/public healthcare thing is the difference. I bet they wouldn’t have discharged her if she had great insurance.
