Oh fuck right off...The article clearly states that the driver went the wrong way down a one-way trail and drove off the road in an attempt to turn around. I don’t see a “Fuck Around and Find Out” mode.

Judging by all the dents and creases, it just looks like it was restyled as Toyota.
Doesn’t sound like the vehicle was the problem. Running up the side of an embankment while not wearing a seatbelt? Yep.
The answer is simple:
I was just going to say the passenger compartment looks pretty good for what it went through and stayed intact.
Yes they do make harnesses for dogs - and it’s good for making sure they’re not ejected but it’s important to know that there is no injury criteria, maximum force or g’s allowed in most companies that “certify” dog harnesses.
You act as if Colorado is the only state that has to deal with those problems.
Ejected the engine? Like, holy shit Batman.
Also, um wear your seatbelt folks! And they make them for your dogs too!
It held up well all things considered.
This one. thats a pretty damn big difference from the f150 and visibly smaller than the ranger. the width is the biggest difference. its only a few inches shorter than the ranger but the width difference will make parking so much easier. it would be even smaller if we didnt live in a stupid world where youre stuck…
I think you need to actually deliver a car before you can be considered a “car company”.
Yeah, if I was a car company, I would do my best to stay away from GM. They are all about shared cars. They will slap a badge for every brand on each car and call it a day. Then when things get rough, those lower companies/brands will get the axe. It’s how they’ve done business for decades.
Any one that has owned Jeep. History is littered with carcasses of companies that bought/acquired/merged with Jeep. If they weren’t outright murdered, they’re the walking dead.
good point on nicer speakers probably being good. though I’d be tempted to install an amp, and then there’s tons of ways to mess that up and make things worse. once someone installs an amp and new speakers, they’re tempted to add a sub, and then things are really worse.
Trying to convince David Tracy rust isn’t a mod.
I humbly invite you to come visit the urban centers of Central Pennsylvania if you are so inclined some time. The cities of Reading, Lancaster and Lebanon are absolutely crawling with 90s shitboxes with wheels frequently more expensive than the going rate of the automobile they are bolted to.
Almost any “overlanding” modification to a Subaru Outback. Take a wagon with good enough abilities off road with the ability to get gas mileage in the 30s and drive comfortably across country, then add 1000 pounds of winches and racks and roof tents and bull bars and roof ladders and skid plates and big tires and a…
Deep window tint, blacking out headlights, that kind of stuff. You’re not Corey Hart, you’re not wearing your sunglasses at night, there’s a good reason for that. Don't affix permanent sunglasses to your car. Also poorly applied tint makes you look like a doofus.
Larger diameter wheels, stretched tires, slammed suspension, and lots of completely unusable camber. Basically stancebro’d cars
For a while I thought having a bigger, freer-flowing exhaust would make my dinky little truck sound, I don’t know, tougher? More impressive?
