It happens all the time — older folks keeping their cars until they pass, as with above... But I don't know why you'd expect or want a 370Z at an estate sale - It's just a new used car.

I can't edit this one either, I was just going to add...THANKS KINJA. BUT I CAN'T. THANKS KINJA.

This post is by someone who has a crazy notion to restore a Volvo Bertone to Concours quality. So, no, not mad at all.

And I thought I was mildly odd for spending 10s of thousands of dollars on an 88 Mazda RX7.

I have massive respect and extreme concern for the owner of that car. In my mind they are the real life equivalent of the TV character "Monk".

Of course! And apparently he made one post since 2012.

I thought about that guy the whole time. If I was an eccentric billionaire, I'd buy it for him and have it shipped to his house in a padded box.

I would love to find a perfect Tempo AWD. I have always been more appreciative towards these normal pristine cars instead of a really nice Ferrari 328. I currently have a 1998 Police Interceptor and I plan on keeping it as nice as possible, because soon they will be all gone. I also would really like to find a perfect

I love it when you can see a title and instantly know who wrote it. Before I even looked down at the name, I thought to myself, "this had to have been Torch."

Apparently you belong to the crowd that has never owned a said Tempo. I'm the proud past-owner of an '86 5 speed Coupe. Let me tell you it was a blast to drive, but then again I was 16 and I could have fun in a dump truck having just got a license. I loved that car but it sucked me dry of money. I paid to fix

Yeah, my first thought was "Oh no FTF has passed away and his estate is selling his whip."

Oh wow, memories. My parents bought an '85 Tempo shortly after I was born and it lasted about 4 years before they got tired of the constant tow truck rides and trips to the dealer. Theirs was brown with the exact same burgundy interior, I think almost all domestic cars back then within a certain price range had that

Remember the commenter FordTempoFanatic? (or something like that) He would've loved this.

Looks more like the hood is 'popped' but not open. In the other photo the gaps are just fine.

Maybe not closed all the way?

Finding a Ford Tempo is always weird. They're either surprisingly pristine, or just absolute piles of rust and faded paint.

One thing I'd like to see come back: on the front page, what is each post filed to? I'd like to be able to identify COTD winners immediately, etc.

"Hey, let's cancel the Grand National."

Anything Jezza says about America or its cars.

"Aerodynamics is for people who can't build engines"
