Gamestop bought out the game retailer I worked for and I threw the keys to my assistant manager and walked out within two weeks. Rhino was an awesome company to work for but Gamestop was a nightmare. I haven’t bought a damn thing from them since and I wish everyone else would stop too. That is one horrid company.

Was recently faced with a choice of buying a Kinect from Gamestop or from a local place that I didn’t care for because of a variety of reasons. Ended up calling the Florida location of a store that had just closed around me (I live in NY).

I’ve only ever bought new from Gamestop because I wanted the developers to get a cut of the profits. With this, there’s now no reason not to just order things online.

Worked for Gamestop for 3 years as a store manager. I was fired for paying my employees out of pocket to help me out off the clock because corporate pulled all my hours during Christmas time so I was soloing a fucking store by myself. I doubt none of this.

Having worked at Gamestop for a short time, I am in no way surprised by any of this. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll never shop there again.
