I bought some rubber... pocket/gutter/things that slip between the seat and the center console at Autozone as an impulse buy at the register about 6 months ago. They don’t work so well with my bucket seats, but it still stops things from going all the way down into the abyss.

You have my star, but I honestly don’t have hope for that. 41 months of this shit to go...

I went to San Francisco MOMA yesterday and you just helped me enjoy it more, retroactively. Thanks!

I’m a Home Chef subscriber and all this news about the big hitter makes me wonder about the entire business model. Overall, I recognize that they’ve given me 3 recipes a week that are mine to repeat by just doing the shopping myself. There’s only been one or two ingredients that were mysterious and not immediately

Is there no other place to go? I love those little moments on Highway 1 when there’s no one in front of me and I can warm the tires up a little, but I know that it’s not going to happen in large pieces because it’s always full of people. If I want a great drive with barely anyone on it, I know a number of spots within

I just find it amazing that I never connected the name of the salad to the scandal. “My, what an interesting coincidence!” said my 8-year-old self.

I was happy to see him go - he was sucking all the air out of the room for season after season. The sandbagging man-baby was our albatross.

My ex-wife says ree-sees pee-sees. You don’t know her, but this is actually good supporting evidence. Holy shit, I just remembered she also bought a bunch of championship swag one year. There you have it folks.

45 doesn’t know shit about a good steak, either.

Ditto. I am not CBS’s demo, and I’m constantly saying, “That sounds like a dumb show, that’ll never last,” and it lasts for 23 seasons.

Recently I had a conservative take the stance that government funded lunches are terrible, so why bother funding them? I didn’t have time to ask about the right’s reaction to Michelle’s flawed but well-meaning plans (I’ve heard that kids didn’t eat the healthy food, and it just went to waste).

What good does that do, really? Farmers work with hazardous chemicals all day long. Sure, it goes on food (indirectly, for the most part). Yes, my father was employed by a Monsanto competitor and he said over and over that Roundup was 100% harmless to humans, but what does acknowledgement of this fact do for anyone?

Usually I say no, but every year I get a wine slushie at the California State Fair (or four), so you do you.

(BTW, the Forbes link is broken)

I’m struggling with the Huffpost article and the way the study is framed. Doesn’t it basically say that the wage gap does still exist, but that it’s smaller? Further, doesn’t it also say that a gap in wages is mostly due to patriarchal career stereotypes? Lastly, would you be happy to make 6% less, starting today?

That *is* fun, thanks! Jipijapa.

Spoken like a true Placer resident.

I walked away saying it was good-but-not-great as far as superhero movies went, but it’s obvious missed the point even as a white male feminist ally.

Wow Jeff Sessions reads Kotaku!

I live in Sacramento. The Bay Area expats have driven property prices out of control, to the point that people have been worried about affordability here for a few years now. Gentrification is the general rule in Northern California. It’s basically inescapable, in my opinion. Even Redding and Modesto have come around
