Yes, it's totally unprofessional to express personal opinions like this via her work email, but what's even more disturbing is that she cc'ed her boss on the reply. While I forwarded her email to her boss demanding some answers (and recommending biology lessons), I don't think he will be so concerned. If she feels so

Oh, I am done with them, as is my company, which subscribes to the magazines at a number of different locations.

Yeah, my grocery store does this too. They're still cheaper than Whole Foods.

I shop at a local, family-owned grocery chain and find that most things are much cheaper there than at Whole Foods, for the exact same item/brand. The workers there are unionized, have excellent pay and benefits, and overall, seem quite happy to be there, and I know there's no way this chain can buy things in the

What's even better- if you click the link and look at their twitter feed, most of the pictures that pop up with their hashtag are of marriage equality supporters, so a good number of those pictured aren't even on their side!

"This is the first time President Obama has visited Indian Country since 2008 and the third time a US president has visited in nearly 80 years."

I'm just wondering...Was your choice to use the word "denigrating" meant to pun-ny or ironic in this context?

Totally nerdy, but...It's made even better by the fact that that vine appears to be Virginia creeper.

Was she there because she was a boozer, a loser, and a user? Did she steal the TV?

I seem to remember that Six Feet Under handled Clair's abortion quite well. She had one, she was kind of bummed for a little bit, she got over it because she knew it was the right choice for her to make at the time, and eventually drove her shiny new Prius off into the distance where she became a bad ass photographer

This is just an attempt to take advantage of the current newscycle and get some favorable publicity while appearing a little more pro-worker. They're probably already starting most employees pretty close this to begin with, and let's not forget the complete lack of employee benefits.

Hopefully she's learned a lesson about how living things aren't props. The appropriation of slow lorises is not cool is not cool.

Agh! Make it stop. It's so hard to read. I want to take a red pen to my laptop screen.

It's really sad that this woman is being "celebrated" for living in Seattle (with all of it's incredible restaurants, amazing northwest ingredients, and awesome and actual coffee shops) and choosing to only eat food from Starbucks, which apparently all seems to come in a box of some kind. Now let's all take about 15

While reading the flyer, I think I just assumed that English was her second language and that she hadn't quite mastered the grammar. Or maybe she was just super worked up and angry, like a milder, more relationship-focused Hulk.

I live in Seattle where we've had a bag ban in effect for years, and we're not swimming in dog poo yet. If the LA ban is anything like ours, there will still be rolls of free plastic bags for bagging up your produce, and honestly, even before the ban, these were the best bags to use for bagging up feces anyway.
