I had to be the strong parent. Mr. Bourbon can't stand to hear Baby Bourbon cry so I had to talk him off the ledge the first night.

This was Baby Bourbon until a month ago. After CIO, Baby Bourbon has returned to Angel Baby status.

I couldn't do the reassurance checks with Baby Bourbon because it made the crying worse and longer. Baby Bourbon is happy and snuggle-y and smiley despite Weissbluth-style CIO. We hadn't planned on it because BB had been such a good sleeper until 6 months.

We just did the full extinction CIO last week (only 3 nights of crying, all under 45 minutes). I think I'm a generally cool person who isn't a total control freak, but it was the best time and method for us. No knocks from the neighbors.

I have dyed almost black hair, and the clear Oscar Blandi for dark hair always works for me. I just get the travel size can because I normally only wash my hair once a week so I don't need to use as much. Now that I always wear my hair up (grabby baby), I don't use the dry shampoo much except in warm weather.

I concur with all of the above. Separate bank accounts AND separate bathrooms during the first few years were SO helpful.
