Whats your description on the DCU then? Aspiring to be more? Revolutionary? You've stated that the "difficulty" of the DC character set is holding back the studio out of fear.

The S stands for Snyder
By Rao, this is so much better.
That's just being lazy. And yet another veiled dig at the complexities of the other company's character set.
It's almost a dig to label the MCU as just popcorn escapist films. They're well crafted AND enjoyable in a cinematic art form. It's possible to be liked by the majority and by those deemed worthy to critique (as this website and other outlets attest to).
I'm sorry, but Marvel is being pigeon holed with this shiny happy stuff. While you're correct WB has rammed the grim/grit into every orifice of their cinematic universe, Marvel takes the seriousness and balances with brevity and character development.
What do you mean? Marvel movies still deal with real cities and social issues. How has the DCU made more of a statement?
Stupid, sexy Hulk-Yoda.
Here's the thing about gritty/serious/grim realism, those are just catchwords used for interviews. It's a wholly overblown categorization of movies that involve Norse/Kryptonisn gods and billionaire technologists/vigilantes.
Kiss him you fool.
since Disney owns both Marvel/SW...it's Thor and his "sledgehamner" Mjolnir.
It's also a complete bullshit statement from a CEO of a parent company that doesn't/hasn't shown a great synergy with its comic book properties.
Here we go again...
Wow, are you nit picky.
Ever hear the gf say "It's Clobberin' Time"?
you could make a list of suggestions. Being helpful would be refreshing around these parts.
and a potential savant.
Oh, you.
Now this...this is good.
