I still don’t find it that crazy that giant mobile refineries would be found on other planets, and that a nomadic species of technological scavengers would continue to employ means that have served them well.

In a galaxy that has had hyperspace for several millenia, and the Jawas are established nomadic technological scavengers (that can construct such monstrosities as the Crawlers), it’s not at all surprising that they would have ended up throughout the galaxy.

Indeed, good thing that’s not the only thing they’ll be looking at, and cross referencing will paint the bigger picture of his criminal enterprises.
