The testimony of the medical examiner CLEARLY shows she lied about the act of the murder itself (and Guyger’s testimony in attempting to resuscitate Botham). It follows that the rest of her testimony was also a lie. I suspect the jury (this being a unanimous decision) also came to this conclusion.

I tried not to be too apalled by Judge Kemp’s jury instructions, my thoughts were that the testimony of the medical examiner would have been strong enough that the SYG laws would not have applied (which they didn’t) not to mention it contradicts her recollection of the murder.
