I thought Beth was good enough (Most football play-by-play announcers are terrible). I couldn’t un-hear that she sounded like Reba McEntire, but she didn’t take away from the game (which puts her above average).

Beth was solid. Nothing remarkable with her call, but that’s kind of the point with play by play: if it’s constantly noticeable it’s a problem. Rex added nothing.

I was totally fine with Beth, though her voice sounds a lot like Jackie Kashian. It messed with my brain a little.

I think Beth is doing fine. Rex, not so much. They don’t have good energy together. Rex wasn’t really adding anything in the first half (I think he added two comments in the opening drive), which has created a lot of awkward silences. Also: the sound mix is super weird. Their voices are coming through flat and low.…

I LOVE “Waiting all Day For Sunday Night.” It was so bad that it went all the way back around to being amazing.
