As an Apple user, I can’t rationalize dropping $150 on a set of earbuds or headphones that doesn’t at least have an H1/W1 chip. At that point, I might as well be spending $30-$50 on a decent 2nd tier brand (Anker, Soundpeats, Aukey, Enacfire, etc) and pocket the difference.

Yeah, the internet hype machine did no favors for the original.  It was way more “Borderlands” than “New Vegas” - not a bad game in that regard, but kind of misleading as to what you were getting going in.

In my experience, Prime Day is moderately worthwhile if you’re in the market for Amazon products (Kindle, Echo, Ring, etc) and largely a waste of time on anything else. It’s mostly just artificial discounts on cheapo off-brand Chinese junk.

Yeah, there are three different vaccines. Shots are readily available from virtually every pharmacy, hospital and public health department in the US, with little to no wait time or scheduling headaches.  Zero excuses anymore.

Lossless has been a nice upgrade. I was uncertain about how much of a difference it’d really make, but it’s pretty noticeable difference when I switch between my wired headphones (UrBeats3s) and a decent pair of Bluetooth headphones. Makes dealing with wires feel more worthwhile.

But…I’m allergic to tear gas, less-lethal rounds at point blank range to sensitive areas and vigorous pummeling with batons.  And that whole “incarceration” thing would seriously cramp my vacation plans.

It’s still a much better alternative than a 10mm hollow point. Not saying it’s without risk, but if it reduces fatalities it’s a step in the right direction.
