As a Floridian, I am deeply offended that this state is fucked up enough that you’re not wrong.

I would say the best Fallout killer I’ve seen lately as far as setting and weird post-apocalyptic humor has been Wasteland 3, though the isometric turn based combat is closer to the original Fallout games than the newer FPS ones.

Game reviews only go just so far, though. Sometimes you just have to take a flier and see how it goes. That’s the beauty of GamePass. You’re only out the time (and potentially the data, if you have a cap) that it takes to download something and a few minutes of your attention to try it out.

Further proof that having a PhD doesn’t guarantee that the recipient is actually smart so much as they just keep showing up and paying their tuition.

Unlimited. Replayability.

“I could probably get by just fine with a Series S for my gaming, but then what would I watch my Blu-ray/DVD collection on? Having to buy a decent separate Blu-ray player negates most of the cost savings of buying the S instead of the X, and ends up taking up just as much space - maybe even more!”

Would it have been nice for him to try earlier? Yeah, sure. I hope Bob thinks long and hard about his judgement call here.

I kind of miss Sony and Nintendo exclusives, but GamePass has sucked me into the Xbox ecosystem for the foreseeable future. I took a flier on converting a couple years of XBL Gold that I got for cheap into GPU on a promo deal last year. And I haven’t felt the need to buy another game since. And with MS constantly

Yeah, this could have been a softball crisis where he could have rounded up the heads of the CDC, NIH, etc, handed the ball to the Surgeon General and said, “We’re going to listen to the professionals, do what’s right and get through this together! Yay,‘Murica!”

Every time I hear someone who “votes for candidates, not parties” say something stupid like that, it takes all my self control not to grab them by the lapels and shake them vigorously.

That assumes A) that Trump & Co - and by extension, the Republican sycophants in Congress and the state level - wouldn’t have just shrugged and said, “Yeah, so? What are you going to do about it?” and B) that right-leaning and otherwise selfish/apathetic Americans would have been willing to do the right things in the

Absolutely loved her as Chloe in LiS. It was a real shame she wasn’t able to voice her again Before the Storm. The actress they got was fine and all, but the game would definitely have been better with Ashly.

I’ll give it a shot since it’s on GamePass and the only thing I have to lose is some download time. I loved the original Wasteland as a kid, but...my standards were a little different back then, as were most of the available alternatives. I did attempt Wasteland 2 when it came out (mostly due to pure nostalgia), but

I appreciate the insight shared here, and it’s got some good details. That said, the folks claiming that the COVID death toll is only 6% of the CDC’s tally aren’t going to listen. Not to the article, not to those of us who read this article and use it to show them how wrong they are.

Travelled throughout SE Asia in recent years? After the SARS and MERS outbreaks, surgical masks have been a normal daily accessory there for a lot of people for the better part of a decade now.

There was a lot to like about DA3. But let’s hope DA4 chills out with the fetch quests and keeps a more even pacing. DA3 was way too easy to get completely sidetracked in and lose all sense of urgency about an impending apocalyptic battle.

A FPS shooter promoting fringe right-wing conspiracies? Sure...what’s the worst that could happen?

We’re talking completely different levels of threat, though. While there have been a few radicalized leftists that have engaged in some degree of violence, it’s absolutely dwarfed by the damage done by white supremacists, neo-Nazis, incel/men’s rights chuds and people bent on harming LGBTQ+ people.

Our checks and balances are basically function on the honor system, and assume that all parties involved have a healthy respect of one another’s roles in the governing process (even if they disagree with the substance or character of the other side).

Nothing screams “it’s a trap!” quite like a formerly relevant alt-right white nationalist/neo-Nazi attempting to endorse a Democratic candidate.  At best, it’s a craven attempt to become relevant again. But really....it’s probably just an attempt to rope the campaign into a “gotcha!” moment. Glad they saw right
