As much as I enjoyed LiS1 and Before the Storm, I lost interest LiS2 by halfway through the third episode. Let’s hope this game gets them back on track.

The character is important in some of the later arcs in the novels - killing him off would require substantially adjusting the storyline. I suppose they’re going to have to do that anyway after all the adjustments they made in Abadon’s Gate, though.

The problem is that you still have to pay royalties to the owners of Brooklyn 99 (or whatever specific shows you want to watch).  And they don’t want to let you pay a la carte for a handful of shows.

I think enough people have proven their shaky decision-making capabilities in this country that we can safely throw that idea out the window.
