For some reason, 2000 feels like it was yesterday, and 2016 feels like a lifetime ago. Time is truly Jeremy Berimy.

Unless it’s really important to be able to say “I love SW so much that own all 9 movies - even the ones that kind of suck,” I’d pass.

It’s the corporate equivalent of living paycheck-to-paycheck, despite driving a Mercedes and living in a McMansion.

Now, if they could only keep chiropractors from claiming they can cure anything else other than back/neck pain...

Exactly! Buy a TV for what it’s best at and let your cable box/game console/Roku/whatever handle the actual processing of your media use.

I was almost willing to consider hearing out her re-analysis of the Imperial College’s data for another perspective on this mess...until she started praising Trump’s depth of statistical expertise due to his business experience. That pretty much killed whatever credibility she might have been carrying forward from

Sadly, neither Biden nor Bernie have any sway over federal or state responses to the pandemic. What may be or will be in 8 months is taking a back seat to what is (right now).  And what is right now is a complete train wreck.

I mean, if us serfs should ideally sock away 6-9 months’ living expenses in our savings accounts in case we get hurt/sick/laid off, surely large corporations run by vastly more capable people than us would have had the wisdom to save up a few months’ operating expenses for an emergency, right? I mean, it’s not like

Ashley isn’t saying that Band-Aids are bad...she’s just saying that they’re insufficient for deep arterial wounds.

Honestly, working from home has made my job a lot more tolerable. I don’t have to commute an hour each way to and from work, I can work in my pajamas. My home office is a lot more life-affirming than the beige cube with fluorescent lighting that I’m usually stuck in. No pointless meetings about corporate BS fluff. Whe

If I could still get hand sanitizer, I would take a bath in it at the thought. As it stands, the best I can do now is splash some cheap vodka on the outside of me in the process of trying to get it in my mouth.

Counterpoint - there may be a lot of asymptomatic carriers walking into those crowded Easter services. It’ll be a great momentary PR bump, and a big “oooooh, shit” realization when a ton of elderly churchgoers are in the hospital a couple weeks later.

That’s optimistic. But until the pandemic takes hold across the middle America, he still has an electoral college advantage. I seriously doubt people in small towns across the Deep South and Midwest really care all that much about hospitals in NYC or Seattle being overwhelmed with COVID19 cases.

Even with the prescription version, it’s easy to cross the line from “potential efficacy” into “fatal overdose”. It’s no more a DIY project than attempting your own chemotherapy.

In the right doses, under a controlled environment...it may be a *possible* treatment. One limited experiment is still considered anecdotal in scientific terms. We’ll talk when there are multiple studies with replicatable results.

True, if there’s any commonality in the churn of his cabinet, it’s that people are let go for disagreeing with the Trumpster - not for completely screwing things up.

I mean, in an environment where loyalty is valued vastly more than competence, what else do you expect?

Looks like I may be ordering more random non-essential stuff from Walmart, Target and Costco.

It’s like going to a chiropractor...it helps for a week or two, and then you have to go back. Vicious cycle.

XBL Ultimate and a gigabit internet connection have made GameStop completely non-essential for me.
