There was plenty of outrage...he and his supporters just didn’t care.

I’ll be the first to admit that referencing “hypnotism” in the tweet was a bad choice of words...but even if she had led with a dry, technical criticism of AIPAC and worked into specific policy disagreements with the government of Israel, it likely would have been met with some disingenuous shouting about

I’m not entirely sure if the real moral of Walter Jones’ story is that it’s possible for an individual to change for the better, or that one stupid mistake can follow you for the rest of your days.

On a spectrum of political skeletons-in-closets, this is a 5, maybe a 6, in my book. It’ll be an issue for her to overcome in the primaries. But if this is the worst dirt out there on her...it shouldn’t weigh her down too much in the general election.

The $10k-$15k annual out-of-pocket maximum that most high deductible plans have is a major issue. If you’re already living paycheck to paycheck, that out of pocket max feels like it might as well be $1mm...if you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it.  Add to that the potential loss of income if the primary earner is

No, but depending on the nature of your work...sometimes random time off is more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe not if you work in a call center or a warehouse, but if you’re responsible for a specific amount of work that’s due on an inflexible deadline completely unrelated to (and unconcerned by) your

Dude, that’s pretty much what West Virginia already is.

Boycotting the company would imply that they get any of my business to start with. I realized long ago that most of Starbucks’ coffee tastes like licking an ashtray.

Yeah, it’s disappointing to see in black and white...but hardly worth threatening to take your ball and go home, especially when any other attempt to come up with a better “plan B” will most likely result in another four years of Trump in the White House.

Eww. Michelada is officially the *worst* Mexican beverage (and I would argue it’s also easily in the top 5 worst alcoholic beverages worldwide)...and that crap is just a knockoff of real Michelada.

If he was the least-evil Republican in the room and tossing him out meant replacing him with a more actively malicious underling...I might be willing to entertain that point.

True...there’s a distinct difference between people’s paychecks being delayed because politicians can’t get their shit together and a full-on breakdown/dissolution of governmental authority and control.

I was shocked to find out that Herman Cain was actually the chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank for a couple years back in the late 80s. With his slimy used car salesman demeanor and questionable economic ideas, it’s a wonder they let him anywhere near that job.

PC gamer master race, my butt.

Ok...if they won’t budge on making Election Day a paid holiday, compromise and mandate that Election Day be on a Saturday instead of a Tuesday.

Look, I get that things are really awful in Venezuela and that Maduro has been running the country into the ground. It sucks, and I wouldn’t fault the people of Venezuela one bit for rising up against that shit.

Ranked voting can build momentum, but it has to start small, locally - where there’s less resistance and less money involved.

I’m pretty sure he won’t win. He’ll just fragment the (largely Democratic) not-Trump vote and make 2016 look like “the good old days.”

With that kind of money, I’d finally have the resources to get my army of robot spiders operational. And then running for President would be kind of a moot point.

Yeah, the last independent to come anywhere close to winning a presidential election in recent memory was Ross Perot in 1992...and he only got 19% of the popular vote and zero electoral college votes.
