So...in 80 years, everyone’s going to be drinking some kind of gin made from heat tolerant grain, and Zima-like beverages made from said GMO grain?

To force Trump’s hand on the million dollar thing?

No amount of nostalgia for the ‘90s is going to make this issue relevant or worth relitigating (for the nth time!).

What’s even worse than Dum-Dums are those horrible dollar store lollipops. You know the ones - made in China, taste like sugar combined with some kind of industrial stabilizer, have a weird texture in your mouth... probably the closest thing to the proverbial “bleach and razor blades” any kid is realistically likely

You are very correct on both counts.

It’s amazing how the rules suddenly become much more advantageous once you can afford a small army of lawyers and accountants. It’s almost like they only apply to the little people or something.

I will say conservatives are gradually changing some of my hesitance about concealed carry laws, if only because I'm starting to get the sense I might someday need to defend myself against one of them.

Or...it could just be near where he disposes of the bodies. That’s more plausible.

And this is why I only order things that can’t be screwed up when I’m out. If you can botch a draft beer or a double of whiskey, neat (after asking to be sure they have something decent for either)...you need to have your beer/wine and liquor licenses revoked.

Our frustration will be our salvation - subpar battery technology. Unless the machines can sort out miniaturized fusion and/or make massive strides in energy storage, we have the upper hand.

That makes sense, since you’ve never been older than you are right now (until you stop to consider the concept of “right now” again, which would technically be at a later point in time).

Very true. 8-10 years ago, phones made big enough strides each generation that there were material benefits in each upgrade. But it’s a more mature technology now, and 3 years between upgrades is perfectly reasonable (especially if you buy a flagship-level phone each time).

Realizing that like 75% of the benefits of the Pixel 3 are coming to the Pixel 2/2XL as system upgrades really saps any motivation to upgrade if you already own a Pixel 2.

He would have been great. Or, in his absence, maybe Ving Rhames.

“The paid D.C. protesters are now ready to REALLY protest because they haven’t gotten their checks - in other words, they weren’t paid!”

Square pepperoni!

It seems like an iterative improvement, at best. Wireless charging would be nice, but hardly worth upgrading from a Pixel 2. The camera upgrades also sound nice, but a lot of them seem like just software upgrades that should find their way to the Pixel 2/2XL.

They should consider free t-shirts and pizza as an incentive to vote, instead of indignant shouting. Works for credit card companies and grad students in need of experimental psychology subjects.

The Facebook Portal is a solution in search of a problem.

Yeah, the “too Hollywood” argument seems like an exclusionary fanboy thing. As though people who lose their patience dealing with the “damn, this makes ST:TOS feel like Avatar” low budget feel of classic Who shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy NuWho.
