It’s easy to hate Rick Scott on a lot of levels, but to be honest... it’s kind of hard to get enthused about Bill Nelson. He’s not a bad guy, per se. He’s just been in Congress for 40 years, is showing signs of cognitive decline and votes mostly like a moderate Reagan-era establishment Republican.

I like Gillum’s platform and presentation, but the FBI corruption investigation into the city government of Tallahassee is going to be a unpleasant hurdle to overcome. In the fight against De Santis, I’ll vote party-line blue all the way...but man, things are going to get ugly if he ends up being indicted.

- Bailing out on his first (disabled) wife to marry for money.

It looks like something you’d find on a 22-year-old hipster who’s physically incapable of growing a decent beard, but is still trying desperately to look like Errol Flynn.

Were he some random 72 year old, I’d file this under “grumpy old man shouts at blinking VCR”. But he’s the fucking president of the United States. Surely, he has a staff of well-educated professionals around him that could explain how Google’s search algorithms work. This is pretty clearly anti-media propaganda for

I’m all for addressing mental health as a core component of the gun violence problem. But that leads us into another quagmire: mental health is healthcare. And the same people that screech, “MUH FRREEEEDOMS!!! YOU’LL TAKE MUH GUNZ FROM MUH COLD, DEAD HANDS!!” also tend to be adamantly opposed to anything even remotely

Fred Thompson.

To all the gun-humpers who are so quick to say, “Mass murderers are gonna commit mass murder with knives or clubs or bombs, even if you take away their guns,” I present this event as evidence A in calling bullshit.

They're called "trailer parks."

RIP Grumpy Old Codger. A greatful nation appreciates your service in Vietnam. Had you just stayed in the Navy for 30 years, retired to a golf course community in Scottsdale and lived out your days in quiet dignity...you’d have been deserving of a hero’s send-off.

Oh, the sweet irony if the housekeeper in question was here illegally, preferably from a "shithole" country.

If we were dealing with an unpalatable but sane and somewhat functional Republican president (Kasich, Jeb, Rubio), you might have a point.  The devil you know vs the devil you don't and all that.

The Dems could run an intellectually disabled elementary school janitor for president in 2020 (with his cat as his running mate) and I’d still vote for him over Trump.

Yep... it might cut some time off the end of my life. But those last few years look like they’re probably going to suck, anyway. Might as well enjoy the good ones as best as I can

I'm sure she'll be the designated survivor for all state of the union addresses for the remainder of this administration, just out of spite for our children's future.

Trying to address gun violence with more guns is like trying to lose weight by eating even more junk food. It just doesn’t make sense.

There would be a weird Old Testament kind of justice to doing that, though.

That would be a Kaiser Sose moment in this drama, if there was ever one.  I could kind of imagine Don Jr as a low-key crime boss, but Eric?  He doesn’t come across as being able to find his ass with both hands, much less be the kingpin in an international money laundering scheme.

My guess is that Trump screwed him over somehow, and that the cooperation is voluntary out of spite - not part of a formal plea deal. As for the light sentence... he’s likely being charged with white collar crimes that would be hard to get more substantial sentences for, anyway.

I’m so glad I met my wife and got out of the dating pool before online dating was a thing.
